I would like to thank all of my applicants. I received a lot more than I did in any other call for applications over the last two years. I'm having to make some tough decisions this time. It's nice seeing 4-6 people interested in some of the positions.

I am now announcing the All Call for ARST Applications for the following positions.

The job responsibilities can be found Below. I am missing a job description for Web Presence, Solitary Chapters, and Chief of Staff. I will touch on them briefly in this email to help explain what they would be expected to do. The job descriptions are something I will be working on in the future but wanted to get the all calls put out so that we could move on and help get some staff positions filled.

Web Presence: This person would be responsible for updating and maintaining the regional web page.

Solitary Chapters: This person would work with the indepedent chapters and members to help ensure they are given the same opportunities as the other members of the region. Essentially they would be performing the functions of the DST for those chapters. Performing Mid Level reviews and helping to mentor VSTs and work with the chapter to help them become a domain.

Chief of Staff: Their primary function would be to be my second in command and to help manage my staff. They would act as another opinion on the approvals database and help out when ever needed.

One of the goals for this staff is to give Focused Attention to each of the above mentioned areas. I feel that was one of my short falls and my goal is to find ways to do better than the last two years. For example, by dedicating a person to running elections, the elections will get more attention and be flow smoother than if I am trying to run them myself while doing the rest of the duties I have. With that goal, I am posting a job description for each position. 1. That allows each staff member to know 100% of what is expected of them 2. That allows the membership base to know what they should expect out of the staff.

What I would like people to do, is submit the cam resume with a vision statement, etc and list in the email what positions they are interested in and rank in order of interest. That way if I get a bunch of applications for one, I can see what other positions they might be interested in.

Ok, this is the first bit of information from me. I'm going to be making a handful of changes to try and make my office more responsive, public, and efficient than the last two years.

I'll be putting out an all call for applications to work in the structure I am creating for the RST Staff. I'm going to be going tried and true with some positions as well as creating new ones. I'll be posting more information on that soon. What I am going to do is ask people to list positions they are interested in doing when they submit their applications. That way I can create a pool of applicants and get things up and running.

But, with this, I am posting my first all call for a position - ARST Elections. The reason doing this now is because there are 3 elections that need to be run and I would like to hire on an assistant to help run the elections so that they get done in an efficient manner. I would rather do this now and get things going instead of wait until I have the other positions done. Here is job description and expectations for the ARST Elections.
